Print to file from a post-script printer, and
send us the file (usually printed with a .prn extension)
To install a postscript printer that prints to
file, do the following, your windows 95 install disks may be needed:
* In your control panel, you will find a printers
folder. Double click on printers folder.
* In that folder, double click on the Add Printer icon -- the Add Printer Wizard
will appear. Click on the "Next>" button.
* Select "Local Printer", click on "Next>" button.
* In the left window scroll down to "HP". In the right window scroll
down and select "HP LaserJet 4/4M PostScript". Press
"Next>" Button.
* If the next screen asks to you keep the existing driver, select yes and press
"Next>" button.
* If the next screen asks you to "Click the port you want to use with this
printer..." then select "FILE:" and press "Next>"
button.
* The next screen will ask for a printer name. Type any name that works for you
and select the "NO" button for default printer. Press
"Next>" button.
* Next screen asks to print a test page. Select "NO" and press
"FINISH" button.
If you are using Windows 98, the above
instructions may differ slightly, but the concept is the same!
You have now installed a postscript printer
driver that prints to file.
From your graphic program, go to print the file to this printer and select a
file name on your hard drive. After printing is done, e-mail us that file to artwork@advertisingmagic.com
